Ambonya Burl is well known for it’s amazing colors and patterns and it’s rarity all contributing to it being prized and highly valued by collectors and woodworkers alike. We added inlays of walnut and accents of purple heart all cased in epoxy resin and finished with a natural varnish and hand buffed to a high polish.

We source our carving blades from Blacksmiths in the U.S. that use high carbon tool steel and temper the steel especially for carving to above RC 60 to create a blade that will be easy to sharpen and will be very hard so that it will hold an edge and will be easy to maintain on a leather strop between sharpenings.

This blade is perfect for Roughing out, spoon carving or general material removal. The high polish allows the razor sharp edge to glide through most carving wood. It truly doesn’t get any better than this.
